In the early 1990s, Eurotape's journey began with a interesting conversation about the future of healthcare textiles. As hospitals started replacing traditional cotton drapes with advanced reusable materials, a new challenge emerged: conventional surgical clamps damaged these innovative fabrics.
Inspired by this challenge, our founder Juan Sánchez began developing a skin-friendly, wash-soluble medical adhesive tape that could securely fix drapes without harming the textile. The first rolls of medical tape were produced in a twenty-square-meter garage, laying the foundation for what would become Eurotape.
